MLM Marketing Trick: Getting A New Website To Rank In A Hurry
Last week, I went on a blog that I frequent, which is a collaboration between some of the MLM marketing leaders. The topic of the day was discussing the various methods to getting backlinks for your website. The one thing that they didn’t do a great job of explaining was exactly where to point the links (the main page, sub page, etc.).
The following is a little tip that will answer the question of where to point your links to in order to gain maximum effectiveness.
Most people will agree that the biggest determining factors of getting a site to rank through SEO are page rank, authority, backlinks, and structuring. Most of these things present a problem for new website owners because they won’t have and PR or authority due to the age of their sites. The way to get around the age of your site is to rank content, which can be videos, articles, or even blog posts.
The easiest way to think of this process and how it will help rank your main site is to envision your new site as a heavy rock in the bottom of a lake (or Oogle’s searches) and your content is like empty balloons. Adding backlinks to your content will fill the balloons with air and lift them up the lake very quickly. Once you have enough balloons filled with air, your rock will start lifting up through the lake and moving towards the top. I am hoping this illustration clears up the process I am describing.
So, if you have a new site and want to begin getting it ranked quickly, begin ranking your content. Start by putting the content on your blog or website and then take a variation of it and post it on some of the social networks, and article or video directories. Make sure all of the links that you are putting on these external sites point back to the main piece of content and not your main page or sub pages. If you follow this step with each piece of content, you will quickly see your content starting to rank.
The reason I wrote this article was because I am fairly certain that there is a lot of confusion when it comes to SEO and ranking. I am also sure there are tons of people out there getting a lot of backlinks and pointing them to the wrong place.
