* It places an unneeded tension on personal relationships, as your loved ones either do not wish to commit to your new company or can not commit because of too little time, not enough capital, or else lack of experience;

* If your friends and relatives do enlist, there’s a better-than-average chance they do not have a foundation in sales and will not be able to earn a lot of money with out a whole lot of training;

* It mixes the personal with business, which is rarely a good idea.

Focus on Finding a Mentor

Instead of throwing away your energy on recruiting friends and family, you need to direct your thoughts “up.” When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me that I should look for a “rabbit” to follow in school. What this means is you concentrate on someone who is a high achiever and pattern your behavior on his.

You need to develop a relationship with a coach who can teach you in proven methods for growing your MLM business. I discovered that kind of mentorship which has a friend of mine who’s a builder/developer.
