How To Get Blog Readers
What is it that really draws in a reader? Many bloggers get too concerned with having the right links and keywords which helps, but there’s something else that really can make or break a blog. Many people get stumped when thinking of how to draw people in and really it’s a lot more simple then one may think. All you need to draw people in is curiosity.
If you want people to read your blog you need to draw them in somehow. The title of your blog is what will initially draw in any potential readers attention to your post. You want your title to fit the content of your post very well because it gives your readers a very important first impression. Many bloggers lose valuable readers simply because they picked the wrong title. If it’s boring then people aren’t going to click on it so even if the content is great you’ve already missed out on readers because until they click they’re unaware of the content.
Your readers want to get some type of benefit out of reading your blog so make sure you can give them just that. You should really try to get to know your audience so you can give them something they’ll be interested in. Ask yourself some questions, like what is they’d like to learn? Can I solve a problem they face? Or any other stream of thoughts that may come to mind. Most people read a blog because they want to learn something so be sure it does just that.
In order to make a curious blog you need to know what it is your audience is looking for. What interests them, or what question do they want answered. Ask yourself just what is it they want to know and how can I give them that. Readers want your blog to teach them something so make sure it does just that. Be sure you know what it is your readers want. Every niche is different, as is every site. What your readers want to know will probably be a lot different then those of other marketers. For example think of how many different magazines there are out there. If your a subscriber to a fitness magazine then you’re probably not going to be interested in what’s on the cover of the latest teen magazine. Relevant topics are important to your blog, your readers are going to want to keep coming back if they find something new and useful each time they visit your site.
People by nature are curious so why not take advantage of this natural function. We have a thirst for knowledge and are sure to follow whatever engages our mind at that particular space in time.
