I wrote this article to share with you the five most important steps that are crucial to a network marketer’s succss in their online MLM business.

1. Self Improvement: This is the most important of all steps. Being successful comes at a cost. Successful marketers study leadership skills, read books, watch videos, study successful people, etc. In other words, the continue to learn. And they never listen to advice from individuals who are not where they want to be.

2. Self Branding: Take all the self improvement mentioned above, and you slowly become an expert in your field. When you become an expert, people will seek you for your knowledge and expertise. Suddenly, people will become attracted to you because they will sense that you are on the road to success and want to follow your lead.

3. Relationship Building: Never forget that MLM is a people business. Building trust and credibility will come from valued relationships and friendships. Spend time getting to know your prospects and training your team. But, don’t allow yourself to get caught up in this. Learn to show your trainees how to get the information they need and move forward. This little secret will set you apart as a leader.

4. Treat Your MLM Business Like any other Business: If you’re still working a full time job, that’s normal while starting your business. But just like any business, time must be set aside to build it. No one can build a successful business in 2-3 hours a week. Schedule at least 2-3 hours a day and aim for 15-20 hours a week, and your chances of success multiply.

5. Focus on One Marketing Technique at a time: For me, article marketing was it. I learned everything there was to know about it. And it seemed to come rather easily, since I seem to have a knack for writing. I pressed on with that until I became an expert with it before moving on to PPC and video marketing. You may have skills different than mine, but what ever you decide to do, stay on it till you have it mastered. You will avoid analysis paralysis (information overload).

I hope these five tips will help you as you begin your journey to success in your MLM business. These are only the beginning, however, and you should continue your personal growth through reading anything you can get your hands on so that you become the expert. Remember, people will buy into you, not your product or business opportunity.

Anyone involved in network marketing that I have come across with are either doing these two actions: making money or blaming others and giving excuses. Let me rephrase myself here. What you might do here is to generate money or to give excuses while blaming others for the flaw you did. Imagine if you own a McDonald franchise, and you did not make any profit in your first year or first month. Would you blame the corporate office or the regional inspector? My guess is, you wont. It is because of the fact that many people became successful because of this system. Let’s break this down a little.

Giving excuses for your MLM or home based business failure is simply to clear yourself from blame. So, you conducted a business meeting with a total of 49 guests and yet, nobody has signed up then you surrendered? Your up line’s phone was cut off and you couldn’t get to him for a three way call, so what? To make an income or to give excuse is what you have here. Take ownership of your MLM Networking business.

It would become a very good thing for the upline you have to be 24/7 available on phone line. It would be nice for you to be a great speaker with PhD in sales. It would also be nice for my mansion to be next to the white house. But the reality is nothing is perfect. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT IT TAKES, JUST DO IT. If your closing skills is lacking, work on it. If you do not have marketing skills, do something about it. If your communication skills is lacking, work on it. Do not give excuse. Instead of excuses, work on being good at your skill.

Not only do we give excuses, we find a way to blame someone for our failure. YOU ARE YOUR UP LINE! That idea should resonate into the head of yours for one minute. If you have the idea about your upline, then you are not going to put the charge to anybody in case of failures or unsubstantial outcome in the network marketing business you have. Perhaps your team is not growing as you want it to grow and you are whining about it? Are you the number one recruiter in your team? I think, you are not and I am 99.96% sure but you are still wanting to put the blame on your partners in business who are just duplicating the whole thing you do. How many hours do you use up prospecting everyday? Blaming is considered to be a mediocre language. I am not saying some up lines cannot be blamed. But just do not do it.

In conclusion, I am not saying some circumstances beyond our control can’t lead to slackness in our MLM business. Life can get in the way. But who does not have any own issues they’re considering? You think that you have this that bad? MOVE OUT. Do not be a leaner but instead, be a doer and a learner. Remember this, if you point a finger to someone, guess how many fingers is pointing to you? If your answer is four, you are definitely correct.
