In offering tips for choosing MLM Genealogy leads, it is important to first note the reason why they are needed in the first place. A genealogy is an account of the ancestry of a family. Who married who, what children were produced, so on and so forth. This is usually charted for several generations. So how does family ancestry come into play in multi-level marketing?

An MLM business venture is based on a direct sales marketing strategy. Directs sales is when a product or service is sold directly to a consumer. There are no stores or other sales outlets, only the sales representatives who are members of the business, are allowed to engage in the direct sale. Direct sales were historically carried out by door-to-door salesmen.

The MLM form of direct sales hinges on building a family as it were of distributors. The more the number of distributors equals the greater the opportunities for increased sales. The originator of each group of distributors can earn both active and passive income from the members of the group to which he is related.

A lead is merely another name for a prospective representative. Leads generally contain contact information. The more specific the information, however, age, location, prior experience, the higher the cost of the lead. This is similar to the name and address lists that are sold to direct marketing catalogue companies in order to garner new buyers. The greater the segmentation of information provided, the higher the price of the list. Bringing new prospects into an MLM business is considered the least attractive factor in running an MLM. New online lead generator companies have made this task much easier.

As has happened in so many industries, the internet has spawned a number of online ventures to support business enterprises. This is certainly the case for the multi-level marketing industry. There are now a number of online offerings for both training and lead generation to aid in the genealogy building process

Establishing a budget for the purchase of MLM prospects is important. Prospect information should be tested over a period of time. It is not suggested to put all of the allocated funds into one lead generator or one buy.

Purchase the smallest amounts of contact information as possible, but with the greatest amount of information. These will be more expensive which is why a trial and error period is recommended. Once the results have been analyzed and there is greater certainty into the successful outcome of certain prospects, then purchases of larger quantities of MLM genealogy leads can be made with minimized risk.

It's a shame but there are so many network marketers who pin their hopes of success in the industry on mlm genealogy lists

Increasingly I see more and more people trying to build their mlm business by buying MLM genealogy lists

They get themselves all geared up to start calling all those 5,000 or whatever prospects and get ready to start living the dream, but then they begin to realise…. No-one is interested and a lot of the information is outdated anyway!

MLM Genealogy Leads

What is an mlm genealogy list you may be asking

Well they are basically lists of people who have been previously involved with an MLM company or have in some way expressed an ‘interest’ in the business model. Worryingly some MLM companies that don’t make it and die a financial death will actually put up their entire organizational list up for sale, usually at auction. This of course is open for exploitation by unscrupulous people as personal details are being released here.

The buyers will usually then market to the list themselves, then sell it on to other Network Marketers who are looking for a quick fix to their lead poverty problem. There are loads of people selling such lists on the internet, you would only have to research it briefly online to see what I mean

Has any one considered the legal situation regarding such lists, how about the non disclosure and data use agreements that are signed by distributors at the time of enrolment?. Of course no one would have signed any agreement to allow their private details to be sold across the internet to anyone who chooses to buy it. Assuming your looking to build your business with any form on integrity and morals then you will probably stay away from these lists.

Their details will arrive on your desk after travelling through a whole chain of information networks (mostly unethical) and when you call these people they don’t know who you are, its a certainty that they would have never directly requested information from YOU. Because of how you got their information your actually on the wrong side of the law anyway by calling or mailing them. It’s not really the ideal prospect, certainly not what you would call a qualified prospect!

The reasons already discussed should be enough to make anyone realise that genealogy lists are not the way to go, but think for a moment of the telephone prospecting you would have to do. You are looking at 8 hours a day at least of what will essentially be ‘cold’ calling. It’s the only way you’d be able to prospect these people, unless you invest in an expensive direct mail campaign. It’s also important to remember that it takes a fair bit of skill and patience to close leads on the phone, warm leads can be tough, just imagine what it would be like with angry, frustrated leads that have been contacted and spammed over and over again!

After all there isn’t really any need to waste time with these genealogy lists, there are many different ways to generate leads for your business, especially online. It’s not actually difficult to be bringing in thirty or more leads into your business on a daily basis using the internet. I recently did a training explaining the step by step process I use to do this in my business for free, and the benefit is that my prospects already know who I am before they receive information from me.

Don’t drain your bank account with MLM genealogy leads. Generate your own qualified prospects, actually generate more than thirty leads each and every day for absolutely free, learn the step-by-step strategy at my Network Marketing training webpage

An MLM genealogy list is a way in which many people try to build their network marketing business. These lists are sold by old MLM companies that have closed their doors and are not in business anymore. This in essence actually seems like a good idea since many these leads have already been involved in a MLM deal before and have spent money before in this type of business. Another reason these lists are very popular is because the chances are very high for you to bring in someone who would be considered a heavy hitter; that is somoene who will sponsor many people immediately.

There are some problems; however, when buying an MLM genealogy list. These setbacks consist of the fact that they are old lists and out of date. It may even be possible that the people you calling failed in that company they were already involved in and it left a bad taste in their mouth. Another problem is that you are hoping you find one of those heavy hitters to come in and build your team. The reality is if they are really that good they are most likely currently involved in some other deal and placing all of their attention on that one and will have no time for you or your opportunity.

Also, you should be made aware of the facts that these genealogy leads have most likely already been contacted by someone else because that list you bouhgt was sold to many other people as well. You will in no way be able to sponsor anyone if they are continually receiving phone calls from various people asking to sign up with their deal. These leads will ignore your calls as they are getting annoyed them.

To succeed in making cold calls to a MLM genealogy list you must be very patient as work your way through the list. You will find some people that join your opportunity, but there are most likely few and far between. You must also be very good at closing the prospects. If you failed to properly close your warm market contacts there is no way you will ever be able to close these leads.

If you are just trying to find new leads and people to talk to about your opportunity there are easier and more cost effecient ways to accomplish just that. You can sponsor new distributors into your business on a daily basis if you know how to market your opportunity correctly. Internet marketing is a unique way to constantly generate your own leads and sell to them at anytime you desire. If you have the right system established, you can even learn how to profit from your leads even if they say no to your opportunity. So no more buying MLM genealogy lists, you need to begin generating your own leads. That list is yours and it is the lifeblood of your business.

If you want to learn how to build a large MLM business without using an MLM genealogy then let Randy Disert help you become successful.
